Ritu Singla, PhD
Dr. Ritu Singla is the CAR-T cell tracking Project Manager at Cell Therapies, a subsidy of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. She has significant experience in cancer research including immuno-oncology. In her current role, she is leading “First-in-human” clinical trial for the tracking of CAR-T cells in real time using dual mode PET-MR agent.
She has an extensive pharmaceutical industry background, with strong experiences in science, clinical development, regulatory and commercial activities and has supported the development and commercialization of innovative drugs, biologics and vaccines. Prior to Cell Therapies, she was a Senior Scientist at Starpharma, a company that focused on Pharmaceutical Research & Development and in Medical Devices. She started her pharmaceutical sciences career as a Scientist at CSL Ltd in 2006. Since joining pharmaceutical industry, Ritu has driven the drug delivery programs by developing and executing several successful proof-of-concept studies. The results from these studies have led to several partnerships. Dr. Singla is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she completed Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry. She is the recipient of gold medal for her postgraduate studies. Currently, she is pursuing her MBA degree online.
